What are the benefits of baking enamel?
Baking enamel is a fast curing, hard wearing and durable topcoat. Featuring a tough cross-linked coating, it offers heat resistance, waterproof/weather resistance and chemical/solvent resistance. It can be applied on a wide range of metal products for both interior and exterior applications.
Does baking enamel offer colour matching?
Colour matching is easy with the Coloryte® Industrial Tint System. It is available in an extensive range of colours in gloss, satin and matt.
Should I apply a primer before using baking enamel?
Bare steel surfaces should have rust and scale removed with abrasive paper or a wire brush. Wipe with clean solvent and rags to remove grease and any other residues. This can be applied to bare metal, however if you prefer a primer, we recommend Rhinogrip Etch Primer. The single-pack epoxy-modified adhesion-promoting etch primer maximises adhesion to steel fabrications, galvanised steel and aluminium. Rhinogrip Etch Primer comes in grey, black and white colours in matt.
